- A drawing is made of the possible design. Usually the design is filled in with colored pencils.
- A scale drawing is made on graph paper.
- The amount of yarn needed for each color is estimated, and the skeins are weighed, washed, and dyed.
- The design is again reviewed along with the dyed wool. Sometimes colors are changed.
- Weaving is completed.
- When the piece comes off the loom, the ends are needle-woven back into the body of the piece.
- A hanging board is made so that the piece can be displayed on the wall, if desired.
- Pricing is by the square foot.
